Parahyangan Center for International Studies (PACIS) is a center of studies under the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Parahyangan Catholic University. Our vision is to develop studies in the field of International Relations, policy making process and the application at various levels of life. As a center of studies, PACIS is supported by a number of researchers with various fields of expertise who accomplished their studies from best universities in Indonesia and the world. PACIS main activities are research, publications (books and journal, Jurnal Ilmiah Hubungan Internasional), and community services conducted in cooperation with well-known Universities (both domestic and abroad), Non-Governmental Organizations, International Organizations, State Ministries and other research institutions.
In October 2016, PACIS held its first Biennial International Conference on International Relations (ICON-IR) as its contribution to the development of International Relations Study, titled “Human Security: Safeguarding and Empowering People”. The aim of this conference was to enhance discourse and innovative thinking about Human Security among academics, practitioners and civil society. In this conference, PACIS successfully facilitated 37 Speakers from 8 Countries (Indonesia, Australia, Japan, The Philippines, Malaysia, United Kingdom, Germany, and South Korea) to present their papers related to human security issues.
